Youth Scholarships - Easy Online Application!

The Carmichael Parks Foundation offers two types of youth scholarships to help local youth participate in Carmichael Recreation and Park District programs, sports, leagues, camps, and classes.
Both scholarship opportunities provide a partial reduction in program fees. District residents receive a 50% reduction, while non-district residents receive a 30% reduction.
Below, you’ll find information about each scholarship, including eligibility requirements. Select the scholarship that best fits your situation and complete the simple online application. Once your application is submitted, a Carmichael Recreation and Park District Customer Service Representative will contact you with your application status and information about next steps.
SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFICATIONS:

- Child must be 0-17 years old
- Child is currently enrolled or meets qualifications for Medicaid, WIC, or SNAP (CalFresh) - Qualifying Self-Certification (no submission of qualifying program paperwork required)
- Parent Contribution: Scholarship covers 30%-50% depending on district residency. The scholarship recipient is responsible for paying the remaining balance.
Hardship Youth Scholarship Program - Click HERE to apply online for this scholarship
- Child must be 0-17 years old
- Your family is currently experiencing financial hardship - Qualifying Self-Certification (no submission of hardship paperwork required). The following are examples:
- Recent loss of employment, reduction in work hours, furlough, or significant decrease in household income
- Unexpected medical expenses for a child or household member
- Death of a parent, guardian, or primary income earner
- Divorce, separation, or another significant change in family circumstances
- Homelessness, temporary housing, housing instability, or risk of eviction
- Foster youth placement, kinship care, or guardianship arrangements
- Natural disaster, fire, flood, or other emergency situation
