Bond Oversight Committee (BOC)

The Carmichael Recreation and Park District was successful at the Election conducted in November 2022 in obtaining authorization from the District's voters to issue up to $31,900,000 aggregate principal amount of the District's general obligation bonds.  The District is now establishing the Bond Oversight Committee (BOC) to satisfy the accountability requirements of Measure G.

The BOC, established by the CRPD Advisory Board of Directors, will provide fiscal oversight into projects the District will undertake that will be funded by Measure G.  The Bond Oversight Committee By-Laws provide more information on the committee including compositions, nominations, appointments, meetings, and its duties in the following areas: 

  • Inform the Public
  • Review Expenditures
  • Annual Report
  • Auditor's Report
  • Authorized Activities

 

The BOC shall consist of seven (7) members appointed by the CRPD Advisory Board of Directors and shall consist of citizens representing the District's diversity and varied interests.

  • One (1) member in a business entity representing the business community located in the District
  • One (1) Youth Organization
  • One (1) member who is associated with or a member of a Community-Based Organization (CBO) that partners with the District
  • One (1) member of the Sacramento Taxpayer Association
  • One (1) member of a Carmichael Neighborhood Association
  • Two (2) At-Large members

Bond Oversight Committee Application - The application deadline is 5/31/23 at 5pm.  Completed applications can be emailed to Mike Blondino, District Administrator, or can be dropped off at the CRPD District Office located at 5750 Grant Avenue (drop box located outside for after-hours submissions).
