Coronavirus - Update on CRPD's Classes, Programs, Leagues, and Facilities

Subject:  Coronavirus (COVID-19) UPDATE

Carmichael Recreation and Park District (CRPD) will be extending the closure of all or our classes, programs, leagues, and facilities following the California Department of Public Health’s orders and guidance regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) through April 30, 2020.

All CRPD parks remain open, but the Playgrounds are closedWe also will be covering the Disc Golf baskets at Carmichael Park.  CRPD staff strongly recommend that users maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet and follow all other coronavirus related sanitation recommendations.

These cancellations and closures will be in effect:

  • Adult Sports Leagues
  • Pickleball Open Gyms
  • All CRPD classes
  • Tiny Tots Program
  • Spring Break Kids Camp
  • All rentals of CRPD facilities
  • Youth Sports Programs: Pee Wee Sports Camp, Youth Volleyball Clinics, Elementary Track & Field
  • Park, Rec, and Eat It Event-April 2nd
  • Egg Hunt-April 11th

These 3 programs restarting will be based on what the San Juan Unified School District determines to do with reopening school:

  • Kids Hangout After-School Program
  • Bridges After-School Program
  • Middle School Girls Basketball practices and games

CRPD’s top priority continues to be the health and safety of all our participants, visitors, and staff.  We appreciate everyone’s understanding during this rapidly evolving, fluid situation.  

Closures and cancellations are subject to change and/or may be extended based on new and updated information.  Thank you for your support and cooperation.
