Coronavirus - Update on CRPD's Classes, Programs, Leagues, and Facilities

Subject:  Coronavirus (COVID-19) UPDATE

 

Playgrounds are re-opened here at the Carmichael Recreation and Park District!  Please Play It Safe and follow the simple steps provided by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to help keep our outdoor playgrounds safe, open, and fun  Signage will also be posted at each playground to remind those of the safety measure that have been put in place.

We have also re-opened the inner gates in the main section of Carmichael Park so vehicle traffic can now go from Grant Avenue to North Avenue.  Vehicle access to the Picnic Shelter area and Fields 3 and 4 will remain closed.


These closures/cancellations remain in effect:

  • Adult Sports Leagues
  • Pickleball Open Gyms
  • Tiny Tots
  • All CRPD In-Person Classes
  • All rentals of CRPD facilities
  • CRPD District Front Office
  • La Sierra Community Center Front Office


All CRPD parks remain open for passive use.  The following park amenities are open:

  • Tennis Courts and Disc Golf at Carmichael Park
  • Dog Park at Carmichael Park
  • Jensen Botanical Garden- parking lot gate off Fair Oaks Blvd
  • Playgrounds

CRPD staff strongly recommends that users maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet and follow all other coronavirus related sanitation recommendations, including using their own hand sanitizer before and after your visit to our parks and amenities. CRPD’s top priority continues to be the health and safety of all our participants, visitors, and staff. Closures and cancellations are subject to change and/or may be extended or reduced based on new and updated information.  Thank you for your support and cooperation.
