Carmichael Cares Family Fun Kits were distributed in July 2020 to 250 families! Carmichael Recreation and Park District partnered with the Carmichael Parks Foundation and the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael to help make this happen. These kits consisted of a soccer ball, flying disk, jump rope, hacky sacks, a deck of cards, and more. An initial distribution to families took place at La Sierra Community Center on July 2nd. Following that, with the help of World Relief and the Carmichael Presbyterian Church ESL Team, CRPD was able to pass out over 85 kits to refugee families as well as give over 20 kits to the Carmichael Food Closet for their distribution.
