Introduction To Guitar, Part 2

This 6-week course is a continuation of the “Introduction to Guitar Part 1” class, focused on teaching students tuning, playing position, musical symbols, notes in first position, rhythms through eight notes, chords, reading, scales, finger-picking, strumming and simple repertoire. The class is accompanied with a Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1, which comes with a CD including 47 full band tracks for demonstration or play along.

Students must have a guitar (nylon string acoustic guitars are recommended to facilitate the fingerpicking lessons). The Sacramento Guitar Society will offer a loaner guitar, with a refundable security deposit of $100.
