Coronavirus - Update on CRPD's Classes, Programs, Leagues, and Facilities

Subject:  Coronavirus (COVID-19) UPDATE


Due to the continued day-over-day case rate increases of COVID-19 from the highly infectious Delta variant, the Sacramento County Public Health Officer has issued a health order requiring masking indoors regardless of vaccination status as of July 30, 2021 at 12:01 am. CRPD will be following these guidelines until further notice.


These closures/cancellations remain in effect:

  •  Pickleball Indoor Open Gyms
  • Tiny Tots (scheduled to re-open schoolyear 2021-22)
  •  Some CRPD In-Person Classes
  • CRPD District Office at 5750 Grant Avenue


All CRPD parks remain open for passive use.  The following park amenities/programs are open:

  • Concerts in the Park 
  • Summer Day Camps
  • Youth Sports Camps
  • Adult and Senior Softball, Basketball, and Volleyball
  • Tennis Courts and Disc Golf at Carmichael Park
  • Dog Park at Carmichael Park
  • Jensen Botanical Garden- parking lot gate off Fair Oaks Blvd
  • Playgrounds
  • Sunday Farmer’s Market at Carmichael Park
  •  Facility Rentals – Dependent on availability

CRPD staff strongly recommends that users follow all coronavirus-related sanitation recommendations, including using their own hand sanitizer before and after your visit to the parks and amenities. CRPD’s top priority continues to be the health and safety of all participants, visitors, and staff. Closures and cancellations are subject to change and/or may be extended or reduced based on new and updated information.  Thank you for your support and cooperation.
